overview
Create a unified go-to-market roadmap to support the new, dedicated Lifelong Learning faculty
As a major player in the crowded lifelong learning space, UNSW had launched a new strategic business unit but struggled to unify its market presence. Their offerings weren’t being communicated effectively, and engagement with both individual learners and enterprise partners was falling short. The university needed to reposition itself as a trusted, go-to partner in lifelong learning while clearly standing out from its competition. UNSW wanted to expand the reach and impact of its Lifelong Learning offerings and ensure any digital go-to-market strategy reflected their customers' evolving needs.
Process: Creating a future-state for future-learning
The Boomworks Facilitated Discovery program was utilised to craft a compelling digital experience roadmap and an enhanced go-to-market strategy for UNSW Lifelong Learning. This was achieved through comprehensive stakeholder engagement sessions and in-depth research to identify trends in career and skill development, evaluated digital experience possibilities and prioritised features.
In collaboration with stakeholders, we designed customer-centric digital concepts that mapped the learner’s journey from initial interest to final enrolment. We tested these concepts with targeted user segments, capturing valuable feedback and iterating designs to better meet user expectations and more clearly define the future-state roadmap.
Outcome: Designing the MVP experience
Boomworks Experience Design services were utilised to finalise the MVP digital experience, working closely with internal delivery squads to ensure program velocity. The result being a seamless, engaging digital presence designed to attract more learners and organisations, with outcomes that included streamlining UNSW's fragmented approach into a cohesive lifelong learning strategy and creating a unified value proposition and digital experience for UNSW Lifelong Learning, aimed at enhancing engagement, lead generation, and revenue growth. The user-validated prototypes were used to demonstrate the integration of all lifelong learning products and services into a streamlined "single front door" offering to better serve the evolving needs of lifelong learners and enterprise partners.
“Boomworks has taken a whole lot of ideas or expectations and actually made it concrete. Simple and achievable - that's incredibly valuable and it's very hard for us to get to that by ourselves”.
